Presentation Skills

We deliver a range of courses to help people, at different levels, enhance their presentation skills.  We can design bespoke courses to meet your specific needs.  Our current course designs include:

  • The Reluctant Presenter – for those who experience nerves and anxiety when presenting
  • The Advanced Presenter – for experienced presenters who wish to fine tune and enhance their skills
  • The Persuasive Presenter – for those who need to persuade and convince their audience to take a course of action or adopt a specific mindset
  • The New Presenter – for those who have little experience of presenting and wish to get it right from the start

 

Coaching

As well as delivering Coaching Skills courses, our consultants provide individual and small group coaching, including the management of Action Learning Sets. This may be as a follow up to a training programme to embed the learning, as part of a longer development programme, or as a stand-alone intervention. Coaching may take place over the telephone, via a webinar or face to face. The content of a coaching session might include:

  • Applying learning to a workplace situation to achieve a better outcome
  • Handling a specific management, leadership or interpersonal challenge
  • Exploring development and/or career options

 

Team Development

Learning Curve facilitates team development events for workplace and leadership teams. The events are specifically tailored to the needs of the team and may include one or more of the following:

  • Team exercises with a review to enable the team to learn about their team dynamics
  • Observation of a live workplace meeting with feedback to raise the team’s awareness of how they interact with each other and make decisions.
  • A psychometric profile of each team member to help them understand themselves better and to work more effectively with other team members. We typically use Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) or Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI).

 

Facilitation

As well as delivering Facilitation Skills courses, we facilitate events for workplace, leadership and cross functional teams. We work with you to define your outcomes for the event and a Learning Curve facilitator will manage the process to achieve your outcomes. This allows you to focus your energy on resolving your issues and achieving your business objectives. Typical topics for facilitation include:

  • Developing a strategy for the business or a department, including a Balanced Business Scorecard
  • Agreeing Vision and Values for an organisation or business function
  • Agreeing a plan to tackle a specific business wide/cross functional issue
